Q: Where exactly is UMAAMiami Fitness Kickboxing located?

Miami Fitness Kickboxing aka MVP Fitness Miami is NOW newly located at 8015 SW 40th Street on the top floor of The Health Joint fitness club. That’s across the street from Tropical Park next to Tropical Chinese Restaurant.

Q: What’s the schedule for your classes?

Q: How much do your classes cost?

$99 for twice a week or $55 for once a week.

Q: Can I pay per class?

You can… but that would be the most expensive way to go. You save money by enrolling in one of your membership programs.

Q: Is this an “aerobic” or “cardio” kickboxing class?

This Fitness Kickboxing class is definitely not a “follow the leader” class where you waste time kicking and punching the air. Instead, it’s a well-rounded, total-body workout that combines the best of endurance, strength and flexibility training to help you burn fat and tone muscle in the shortest amount of time possible.

Q: What kind of results can I expect from Fitness Kickboxing?

You can expect to lose weight, tone your muscles, get stronger and feel great. But everyone experiences these results at different times because no one is exactly like anyone else. And while we can’t make any guarantees, it’s safe to say you will learn more about getting in shape from your very first class!

Q: Do you offer group classes only or group and private?

We offer both types but it’s all based on your schedule and the instructor’s availability.

Q: How many people are usually in a group class?

A “big” class for us will have 10 people in it. Big enough to rock some serious energy but not so big that it gets out of control. We can hold up to 20 people on the training floor but we prefer to keep the numbers low and the training quality high!

Q: Will there be other beginners in my class?

Yes. Since the training is broken into Basics, Beginner/Intermediate and Intermediate/Advanced, you will always be in class with people of the same level as you. Plus, any senior students in class are always happy to help you out and make sure you have the best training experience!

Q: How many classes per week should I attend?

Most of our kickboxers train 2 times per week and get great results.

Q: Can’t I just “work on my cardio” instead of doing Fitness Kickboxing?

You could! But without the proper amount of resistance training, you won’t see results quickly.
While endurance is an important aspect of fitness, it is only one of the (at least) three basic components of health and fitness. You need resistance training also to help you burn as much fat as possible… And that’s exactly what Fitness Kickboxing provides!

Q: Do I need to be in shape before I start Fitness Kickboxing?

Not at all! You’re going to be using Fitness Kickboxing to get yourself in shape or to help you stay in shape. In either case, you will work at your own pace and again, because classes are scheduled by level you never have to worry about being in a class that’s too advanced or too easy for you.

Q: Do I have to have any previous experience?

Nope! Miami Fitness Kickboxing classes are designed to literally take you by the hand and foot and lead you step-by-step towards getting in the best shape of your life!

Q: How long do your Fitness Kickboxing classes last?

45 minutes. Think of it as an “Express Workout”. Get in, get fit, get out and get on with the rest of your day/life.
